Maple Park Fun FestNeighbors
Enjoy a variety of activities throughout Labor Day weekend.
Maple Park Fun Fest will be from Sept. 3 to 6 in downtown Maple Park. Hours are 4 p.m. 9 p.m. Sept. 3; 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 4; 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 5; and 7 a.m. to noon Sept. 6.
Activities include food and beer gardens, crafters and vendors, car show, motorcycle show, softball tournament and more.
The following are the daily activities:
Sept. 3
4 p.m.: Food and Beer Garden Opens
6:30 p.m.: Miller's Hometown Band performs
9 p.m.: Field Day performs
Sept 4
7 a.m.: Romp in the Park (North Park)
8 a.m.: Men's Slo-Pitch Softball (Civic Center Fields)
10 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Crafters and Vendors (Main Street)
Noon: Food and Beer Garden Opens
1 p.m.: 6th Annual Toilet Bowl Challenge (Main Street)
1 to 4 p.m.:Horse Drawn Wagon Rides (Main and Summer streets)
2 p.m.: Brian Lavender and Whiskey Bent perform
2 to 5 p.m.: Touch A Truck (Fire Station)
6 p.m.: Parade on Main Street
7 p.m.: Caozz perform
9 p.m.: Hi Infidelity performs
Sept. 5
7 a.m. to noon: American Legion Breakfast Buffet
8 a.m.: Men's Slo-Pitch Softball Tournament (Civic Center Fields)
8 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Car Show
1 to 4:30 p.m.: Motorcycle Show
2 p.m.: Ronnie "Elvis" Vegas performs
5 p.m.: Roadhouse Prophets performs
8:30 p.m.: Maple Park Spectacular Fireworks Show

Sons of the American Legion Fish FryGenoa
Come out the Genoa Veterans Home to enjoy the Sons of the American Legion Fish Fry!
The fish fry is from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 6 at the Genoa Veterans Home, 311 S. Washington St.
Cost is $10 adults, $8 senior citizens, and $7 for children younger than 12.
