"A Bright Room Called Day"
Based on a play written by Bertolt Brecht in 1938, Tony Kushners A Bright Room Called Day looks over our shoulders and behind ourselves. A German middle aged actress and her friends in the early 1930s fearfully witness the fall of the socialist Weimar Republic and the rise of Adolph Hitler. A subplot tells the story of Zillah, a 1990s New Yorker who believes that Ronald Reagan is becoming too much like Hitler.
