Wonderful World of Christmas Craft Show

« Return to Calendar

It’s not too early to think about holiday gifts for friends and family. The 24th annual Wonderful World of Christmas Craft Show is a good place to start shopping. The show is Sunday, Novemver 11 from 10-4 at the Genoa-Kingston High School just west of downtown Genoa on Route 72.

With more than 100 crafters and businesses displaying and selling wares, starting and finishing shopping in one day is a real possibility. There will be many new booths. Vendors come from more than 15 Illinois communities and Wisconsin. Just a few of items available include American doll clothes, sand art, bowling ball decorations, jewelry, wood craft, string puppets, wind chimes and holiday decor. Bake sales, food booths and more than 300 grab bag gifts for children and adults will be available as well.

Santa will arrive at 11 a.m. and stay until 1:30 p.m. to hear special wishes. Bring your camera!

Admission is $1 for adults and 50 cents for children, with more than 100 chances to win door prizes. A 50/50 cash drawing will take place at the end of the show.

This event is sponsored by the Genoa Community Women’s Club to benefit the Genoa-Kingston High School scholarship fund. Scholarships are awarded each year to deserving graduating seniors. Last year, four students were awarded $1,000 each. The club also donates money throughout the year to area programs and individual families in need of help.
