STEM Saturdays: Programming and Robotics II

Students attending this STEM class on Saturday, November 17, should have previously attended the first session on Robotics and Programming, or already have prior experience using Lego Mindstorm robotic kits. Please contact instructor (JJBenson@niu.edu) before registering a student who has not attended the first session.

This session will focus more on critical thinking and problem solving, as students use the tools and commands they learned in the previous programming session to instruct their robots to complete a variety of challenges and tasks. $25 per Saturday session. This class is recommended for students in 4th- 8th grade. Capacity is 16 students. There are two times available - 9:00am and 1:00pm.

The STEM program celebrates innovations in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). NIU STEM departments, student groups, regional corporations, museums, educators, and national labs are joining forces to increases awareness of the critical role science and other STEM fields play in our world every day.
