The weekend is almost here, and Jessica Jacobsen has some tips for you to make sure that your weekend is packed with fun!

Kids and parents are sure to enjoy "Beauty and the Beast, Jr." at the O'Connell Theatre in NIU's Stevens Building. Performances will be going on all weekend long.

You also can hop on one of the free Trolley Rides in downtown Sycamore as part of Sycamore's Lights Up Our Lives. The Trolley Rides are from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday.

And kids won't want to miss having Breakfast with Santa at St. Catherine of Genoa from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
